Chennai Diary #Rantings_of_a_Beautiful_Mind Lately its been raining in copious amounts here, much to our delight. The temperature drops by a whooping 10 degrees every time it rains. I realized this when I woke up shivering one night after what seemed like Raat Bhari Huri Chalyo. By the way, its been one year since I arrived in this city. I remember I was in Kolkata in August last year. My friends were debating whether to watch Once Upon A Time In Mumbai or Chennai Express which had just hit the screens. I, being the wise one, said firmly that we will watch the Deepika Padukone movie. The very next day I came to know that I was supposed to head for Chennai !!! I was a village simpleton then, having never ventured far away from the safety of the quaint Darjeeling hills. The very thought of coming to an unknown city far away from home gave me nightmares. However, Ive been lucky and have survived one year with wonderful memories. Thanks to friends like Mathur, Gora, Vidya , etc. One..... No, no. Twelve freaking months in this city !!! Can you believe that shit dawg !!! Thats what Ive been telling my Aama who is not well. Come down south or atleast go to Siliguri or Jaigaon, where it is warmer, and shes like Abhuii....garam sakdina !!! In the meantime, things were going well when Little Django too became sick. Poor fellow is hospitalized but he will get better soon enough. A....how I miss home.
