Cherishing treasured Christmas memories of years gone by, especially with those who are now gone. Greg is foremost on my mind of course; my Oma (grandma), whose nativity set I am blessed to have which brings back THE best Christmas times a child could hope for, times I wish my own kids couldve experienced; and my Opa who would take my brothers and I to get our white-flocked tree every year which we would then decorate with the infamous pink bulbs :); my in-laws who blessed our family with much; my step mom, Jan, who left me a wonderful legacy and set a festive table like none other with name tags for seating at the huge table, and was the first one to take my day-after Christmas shopping - a tradition I carried on for years. And, as I unwrap things given to the kids from my mom, I cant help but wonder how someone could choose to simply disappear and has no desire to be located. All in all bittersweet, but the good times outweigh the sad overwhelmingly. Gotta say it again, Thank God for my Oma who instilled in me the desire to follow her example in so many ways... I miss her so much and wish Id taken the time to be with her more often.
