Chester Arthur Burnett also known as Howlin Wolf, was the major - TopicsExpress

Chester Arthur Burnett also known as Howlin Wolf, was the major link between the blues in the Delta and modern Rock. He was born near West Point., MS. There is a museum dedicated to him there and a few other blues-men in the area. We will visit the museum, his statue and the blues trail mark nearby as well, and the mural dedicated to him. The museum is now very small. But, there is good news on the way. They just got an incredible new building and we have already seen plans for it. Its going to be incredible. But, even in these conditions, there are so many things to see: a lot of Howlin Wolf artifacts, and a lot of Hubert Sumlin artifacts, which include his guitar and clothing. Many other musicians donated their instruments and memories to the museum: There is Pete Townsends Les Paul (we dont want to say more about it, you have to see it to believe it), Kenny Wayne Shepherds Strat and Paul Rodgers recently donated 1939 acoustic guitar. There is one of the first Gibson amplifiers (that still works and has some great history), rare original Sonny Boy Williamson II autograph, and many, many, more things to see. It is just incredible.
