Cheyenne Update: No limping, no swelling, no signs of lameness - TopicsExpress

Cheyenne Update: No limping, no swelling, no signs of lameness except for heat in the injured area. Continuing to ice it and liniment bathe it. She is on two weeks stall rest and if there is still heat in that leg we will call the vet back out to reevaluate. As per the vet, even if there is severe injury to that hock, because of her age, there are limited options to fix it other than what common sense tells you, i.e.., rest, rest and rest. Im so excited to report that she is recovering super fast from what looked like (to me) an injury that should have ended her life. Most importantly, she has no pain symptoms beyond a sprained ankle type. Pain and quality of life was the biggest issue to me, and she is good to go. Im hoping she bounces back quickly, but even if she doesnt, as long as she is happy and not hurting she can take as long as it takes to heal. She gives SO much to a lot of people that she deserves it.
