Chicago Marathon 10/12/14: It was a great day to run a marathon out-of-town with Pukers, fellowTBR alumni and the Dream Team of the Bull Runner Dream Marathon. I am joyful and honored to finish the race well. PR of 17+ mins. with negative split of 3+ mins. Puke Session and Yoga running of Coach Jim and Yogi Carol works. Coach Jim advised me, before I left to register with the 4:30 Pace Group and if you feel strong at 30k go for it. The Run-Walk of Jeff Galloway works. I run:walk 4mins.:1min.the first 5k, 4m:50seconds, up to 20k, 4m:40s up to 30k, 4m:30s up to 35k, 1km:30s up to 40k, then Run all the way to a strong finish, with no injuries. Chi-running of Danny Dreyer as taught by Coach Lit Onrubia and Cliff Eala Works. I maintained my form through out the run. Weight Management Sessions of Coaches Armando Jr Mendoza and Mitch works. I was at my lowest weight of 128 lbs. I followed a self-modified Hansons Method, (running my longest LSDs at 32k back to back with a 12k) and peaking at 93 kms in a week, with peak month training 6 days a week with 1 day for Tempo and 1 day for Speed/Strength. Thank you Coach Jim, Yogi Carol, my fellow Pukers. Thank you Jaymie and my fellow TBR Dreamers. Thank you to all my other coaches: Patrick Joson, Roel Amabao-Ano, Lit Onrubia, Cliff Eala, Armand and Mitch Mendoza. Thank you to my Community and our Catchfire Running group for their spiritual support. Thank you to our relatives and friends in LA, SF and Chicago who have hosted us and treated us. Thank you to all who wished good luck, prayed for me, liked and commented on the post of the Chicago Marathon site to my FB page. And lastly, thank you to my loving wife, Azzette ; my kids Adie, Aaron and Adrianne plus my siblings who have supported my running life. I am trully grateful and honored. To God be the Glory.
