Chick-fil-A Mason Road Grand Reopening October 2 (Katy, TX, September 15) -- On Thursday, October 2, at 6am Chick-fil-A Mason Road will reopen its doors… it’s brand new, shiny doors. In May the restaurant was leveled to the ground, and even the underground utilities were restructured to prepare for the expansion. After just five months the new building will open, redesigned to serve the Katy community better than ever. New features abound at Chick-fil-A Mason Road, creating a better experience for guests. The redesigned double drive thru features a separate transaction window to increase drive thru speed. Inside, the configuration of the doors and room dividers allow for a natural, orderly line. Once at the register, guests will have the new option of Mobile Payment. Mobile Payment represents a customer’s ability to load money onto their Chick-fil-A account on the Chick-fil-A Flagship Mobile App and then pay for their meal with this money by scanning their Mobile App at a Scanner at the register. After ordering, 136 seats await guests; a forty percent increase from the seating available before the closure. Franchise owner, Rusty Wylie commented “We have been fortunate to be able to grow along side of our amazing community, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Chick-fil-A Inc. for recognizing the needs of Katy and designing a building to meet those needs. On September 14, 1995 we began with 45 team members, a modestly sized building and an outdoor playground. On October 2 we will reopen with 80 team members, and a innovatively redesigned building, which we believe will help us serve others better than ever before.”
