Chicken Fried Steak One small Top Sirloin Steak per person or 1/2 - TopicsExpress

Chicken Fried Steak One small Top Sirloin Steak per person or 1/2 of a small Top Sirloin Steak for a smaller portion. When you pound these out you will see why I use small steaks. 2 cups of flour 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp pepper 1/4 cup milk Trim all excess fat from the steak. Pound the steak on both sides till steak is about 1/4-1/2 inches thick. Place egg and milk into a pie tin and whisk together. Put flour and salt and pepper into another pie tin and mix up. Take one steak at a time and dip into egg wash and then coat with the flour mixture and then dip back into egg wash and then back into flour. Set this steak aside and continue to do each steak. While your doing this put enough oil in a pan or skillet filled with enough oil to cover the steaks while cooking. Heat this oil to about 400 degrees. I cook these one at a time. They only take about 5 minutes or so to cook. You want the coating to be a nice dark golden brown color. Remember the longer you cook the steaks the tougher they will be. Once removed place the steak on a plate covered with a paper towel to drain. If you try this recipe and have any questions inbox me.
