Chief Lere Paimo, MFR Chief Lere Paimo (MFR) is a veteran Yoruba actor who has been in the movie circle for over four and a half decades. A recipient of several awards for his great performances on stage and screen including the award of the national honours of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR), Chief Paimo has been able to cut across both the Yoruba and the English genre of showbiz on a global scale. Holder of the traditional title of Aare Arobajo of Ogbomoso Paimo hails from Ogbomoso, Oyo state in the western part of Nigeria. A teacher, actor, singer, radio & television comedian, and seasoned dramatist, Chief Paimo who is popular as Eda Niniola-an alias he earned after a beatific portrayal of one his numerous leading roles, trained as a teacher in Ghana after his primary education in Ogbomoso, Besides his basic educational qualification, he has been awarded various certificates on participation in theatre work shops at the university of Ibadan in 1976. Fascinated and inspired by the outstanding performances of stage and screen legends like Duro Ladipo{M.O.N} and Oyin Adejobi, both of of blessed Memories, Chief Paimo’s first role on stage was as Chief Bisa, a comedian in the play “Obamoro’ while his major break-through role in a film was playing Soun Ogunlola in the epicfeature Ogbori-Elemoso . With over 400 films and video credits in his pouch, the dynamic and outstanding actors other movie credits include Aiye, Jaiyesinmi, Ogbori-Elemoso, Ipade Ayo, Omo Orukan and Saworoide just to mention a few.
