Child Foundation Recieves $2 Million OFAC License from US Government Dear friends and supporters of Child Foundation; I am very happy to inform you that yesterday Child Foundation received an Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations License No IA-2014-311236-1 from Department of treasury. This License authorizes Child Foundation to engage in those transactions necessary to transfer a maximum of $2 million per year to Refah-e-Koodak (our local sister foundation), an Iranian charitable organization that provides financial and material support to underprivileged children. This would not have been possible without establishing a very transparent program that we have created and a very vigorous and detailed compliance program that we set to insure of lawfulness of our activities. And who can deny support of our donors who always believed in our mission, our commitments and honesty of our foundation. They stood beside us during tough times and now we can share the good news together. In my opinion, this license is more than just allowing us to send two million dollars to Iran, it represents that the government of the United States is satisfied with the level of our transparency and trustworthiness in our great mission. This is the largest license that the US government has ever issued to any single charity working in Iran, and we are very proud to be its recipients. Our major obstacle in expansion of our programs in Iran was sending money to Iran, and although we have sent cash on occasions – once using special earthquake General License to send $280,000 to build a school and dormitory in an earthquake stricken area, and once using general License E to send $500,000 to support children – we had to purchase food items to send the rest of the donations. This was a time consuming operation that took much of our time and energy in purchasing, sending, releasing from customs, and finally distributing to families of children we support who are dispersed all over Iran. But now, without any worries, we can send assistance to our children in a very short and efficient time. Please note that this license is for working in Iran and that our other present activities in Afghanistan and Indonesia does not require permits from OFAC approval and neither our new plans in helping children in Sierra Leone. We expect now that we have more time, our other international activities will increase as well. I want to take this opportunity and invite all of our friends and supporters to not only continue their support but now each of you should become our Goodwill Ambassador and ask your friends and families to support children without being worried about sanction laws or restrictions. I also want to thank our attorney, Mr. Saeid Amini in Washington DC who had been invaluable in receiving this license. Thank you very much and looking forward to working with all of you even more! Best Regards Peyman Raoofi, Psy. D. President
