Children from the Inala PCYC School Age Care Centre enjoyed the experience of a lifetime yesterday at a Tennis Hot Shots Fun Fest at Queensland’s premier tennis facility. Children from local school holiday care centres took part in a day of fun tennis activities and played on the same courts that were used recently by the likes of Roger Federer and Serena Williams during the Brisbane International earlier this year. It was part of a joint initiative between the AASC program and Tennis Queensland. The Fun Fest program featured Hot Shots games and activities. Parents were encouraged to attend and try Cardio Tennis – a new high energy tennis workout designed for all levels of players and delivered by leading Tennis Queensland coaches. Tennis Hot Shots is a modified tennis program endorsed by Tennis Australia – featuring tailored equipment to introduce children to tennis in an environment that is suited to their age and skill level, and makes learning tennis fun and easy.
