Chille is stable, or, as Dr. Harvard points out, hes not WORSE, which is wonderful. The meds are all doing their job and keeping him 91% oxygenated and fever around 101 with only occasional minutes of being out of breath. He takes the qvar inhaler twice a day and the Xopenex inhaler every four hours. Hes on the high dose of Tamiflu (an antiviral) and Azithromycin (an antibiotic). Hes taking oral steroids twice a day and of course, his oregano oil. Hes hungry but not playful. Hes very much aware, though, and wants to ask mind-blowing questions, but cant speak very well do to being breathless. Still, I take this as a good sign bc hes been known to get very lethargic and not communicative when hes super sick. So Im grateful his mind is still ticking away even though he doesnt want to play video games or do much. This is a nasty virus, but in my book, its not nearly as horrible as Chilles influenzas. Or maybe thats just because I have the beautiful #TeamChille, keeping him safe and at home.
