Chino’s 15th Annual Lights On Afterschool Events On the evening of Thursday, Oct. 23 the City of Chino, Chino Valley Unified School District, Chino Valley YMCA, Boy Scouts of America, and Chino Children’s Theatre unite to shine a light on Chino’s award-winning after school programs. The community is urged to celebrate Lights On Afterschool with games, crafts, and friends at the following open house events: * Chino Experience Teen Center, 3:00-6 p.m., 13196 Monte Vista Ave. * High Five Programs, 4:00-6 p.m. - Preserve Community Center, 15800 Main St. - Cattle Elementary School, 13590 Cypress Ave., Room 126 - Newman Elementary School, 4150 Walnut Ave., Room 43/44 * Chino Valley YMCA, 4:00-6 p.m., 5665 Edison Ave. * Ramona After School Program at Ramona Junior High School, 4:00-6 p.m., 4575 Walnut Ave., Room 32 * Chino Children’s Theatre, 3:30-5:30 p.m., 13123 Seventh St. * Boy Scouts of America, 4:00-6 p.m., Titan Burger, 5509 Philadelphia St. * S.O.A.R. After School Programs, 4:00-6:00 p.m. - Anna Borba Elementary School, 4980 Riverside Dr., Room 40 - Cortez Elementary School, 12750 Clarissa Ave., SOAR Portable - Dickson Elementary School, 3930 Pamela Ave., Room 16 - Levi Dickey Elementary School, 2840 Parco Ave., Ontario, Room 104 - Marshall Elementary School, 12045 Telephone Ave., Multi-Purpose Room - Walnut Elementary School, 5550 Walnut Ave., Multi-Purpose Room Established by the Afterschool Alliance in 1999, Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide celebration of after school programs that benefit children, families and the community.
