Chipolopolo STILL HELD UP IN NDOLA!!!!!!! For some reason best known to FAZ and the ministry of sport, the team has YET to fly out to Cape Verde for the AFCON qualifier scheduled for TOMORROW,Wednesday 10th September-a fixture that the whole football world has known about for more than a month now!!! When will FAZ ever learn?! The fiascos just keep on coming-London,Kumasi and NOW Cape Verde will be surely added to that list! There is NO EXCUSE on Gods green earth that can excuse the latest nonsense we are seeing from FAZ; how on earth do we expect our team to get a result when/if they fly out of Ndola, they will have to be airborne for NINE hours, when do they get to shrug off the jet-lag?! Its totally insane!!! In the 21st century,we fail to plan for a simple qualifier, some things are just beyond understanding; and the excuse of FAZ not having money is one that is utter nonsense, gate takings from the Mozambique game, money from the Brazil,Japan games (FYI-up to now,the amount paid to FAZ by the two nations is still not disclosed!)..Cry our beloved country indeed, words will never be enough to express the hurt and anger that this writer has towards FAZ in this very moment. Just to put things into context,a club like Nkana had continental commitments, did we ever read a headline saying Nkana was stranded?? People will argue Nkana had time to plan but what of when the changed competitions from Champions League to Confed Cup?-their draw was made almost immediately, not to add the fact that Nkana was relying on commercial air travel and was not chartering any aircraft. I hope the lads will find the strength (from somewhere) to go and put the FAZ shambles behind them IF or indeed WHEN they get to travel. PS-Failure to fulfill any fixture in the qualifiers means an automatic disqualification from AFCON 2015...
