Choc Avocado Brownies 1 cup (250 mL) gluten- free all-purpose baking flour 1/3 cup (75 mL) almond flour 1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt 1/2 cup (125 mL) unsalted butter 1 cup (250 mL) unsweetened cocoa powder 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) packed brown sugar 1/2 cup (125 mL) honey 3 eggs 1-1/2 tsp (7 mL) pure vanilla extract 1 ripe avocado, peeled, cored and mashed 1/4 cup chopped hazelnut ( optional ) Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together flours, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds or until soft. Stir cocoa, sugar, honey, eggs, vanilla and avocado into the melted butter. Stir wet mixture into dry mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased 9x12-in. baking pan. If using nuts, sprinkle a thin layer on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes. Makes 20 brownies
