Choosing to Value Innocence more than Guilt The ego will have us solve a hundred illusionary problems in a hundred different ways, then it would hand us a hundred more. Is it any wonder why it is impossible to find true everlasting peace playing the ego’s games? Seeing ourselves and our brothers and sisters as guilty instigates most of the ego’s illusionary games. Call the game what you will, irritation, anger, judgment, stress, they all end when we choose to value our innocence more than our guilt. Today instead of supporting the ego’s past programming of guilt, we return to the present moment, forgive, and experience the gift of innocence. Today as we practice supporting our innocence we also remember that the world is and will become what we offer it, and that our children will one day become the beneficiaries or debtors of the thoughts, beliefs, actions, and reactions that we buy into and share with each other.
