Christ (Messiah) and the day of the Lord ( יהוה ). Comments on Eschatology and Shalosh Regalim 3.1) The day of Christ (Messiah) aka our gathering together with Him is a day of rejoice that comes with no warning...like a thief in the night...remember that the 10 virgin brides were asleep? Php_1:10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Php_2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. 2Th_2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3.2) The day of the Lord (Yom Yahweh ) Joel 2:31 and Amos 5:18 is a day of darkness, vengeance and destruction, heralded by a great falling away. It occurs after the wicked one is sitting in the throne of God and the blood moon and sun eclipse happen...so there is ample warning for this day aka THAT Day. That day is Yom Yahweh. Many figure wrongly that 2 Thess 2:3-4 means that there is no gathering of the saints 2 Thess 2:1 (feast of trumpets) prior to THAT DAY as 1 Thess 4:16-18 teaches the gathering of the saints while That Day is when the wicked one will be slain with the Word (sword) in His mouth. In 2 Thess 2:3-4 Paul addresses their fears as they thought wrongly that they had missed the gathering of the saints 2 Thess 2:1 for Yom Teruah and it was Yom Yahweh (a day of judgement) that was at hand. For the gathering of the saints comes with no warning: 1Th_5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. after they say Peace and Safety (Shalom) It comes as a thief in the night for them but not for the bride.....the Yom Yahweh comes after the wicked sits on the throne of God. There are no periods or commas in koine Greek nor in ancient Hebrew. Context dictates where the pauses are. We should not lose sight that in the parable of the virgins all of them slept. 5 were prepared but 5 were foolish. Mat_25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. So there is at least one day when the Son of Man comes without warning. The word for seasons in 1 Thess 5:1 e is the Greek “xairon,” (Strongs #2540) which is directly related to the Hebrew word “moed” (Strongs #4150). The word “moedim” is used to refer to the Lord’s feast days. They are His appointed times (feasts). Used in the LXX in Lev 23:4 Ex 34:18 This is not unlike the two Messiahs: ben Yosef and ben David. They, the Jews, thought it was only one Messiah: ben David of course and missed ben Yosef. Likewise, Thessalonians 1 & 2 speak of two distinct events that people fuse into one. 2 Thess 2:1 speaks of both events. 2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, and by our gathering together unto him, Abraham pleaded that the righteous wouldn’t be destroyed with the wicked. There is separation. Gen_18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Gen_18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? 4) Let us learn from the three pilgrimage feasts (Shalosh Regalim) that coincided with the three harvests to understand the deeper meaning of the first resurrection. The Torah mandated the man to bring the first fruits on each of these and present it to the Temple. The man is Yahushua. In the Parsha Ki Tavo (When You Enter) Deuteronomy 26:1–29:9 (8) “When you have entered [ki tavo] the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance ... take some of the firstfruits of all that you produce from the soil of the land the Lord your God is giving you and put them in a basket. Then go to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for His name.” (Deuteronomy 26:1–2).. . The Messiah resurrected on the Lord’s day (Sabbath) and on habikkurim He presented the firstfruits of the barley harvest to the Father in the heavenly sanctuary. 4.1) First fruits of barley is just waved in the wind to separate from chaff ( the saints resurrected with Messiah). This is done while eating unleavened bread so there is no sin in these. In Rev 14:4 the 144,000 are called the first fruits. Rev 14:4 These are they which WERE not defiled with women; for they ARE virgins. These ARE they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These WERE redeemed from among men, BEING the FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb. This is the remnant of Israel. Zep_3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they ARE without fault before the throne of God. Further proof in Rev 7...not just from the tribe of Judah (+ Benjamin) and note how in Rev 7:1 they are from the four corners of the earth Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. I can say that these are unequivocally the first fruits of the barley harvest and that they were the first among the Israelites that accepted Yahushua as the Messiah of Israel. 4.2) Then in verse 6 the gospel is preached to the Earth (Eretz) and to all nations and subsequently the harvest of wheat is the subject matter. At Pentecost, the firstfruits of wheat are presented while eating challah that is leavened so there is still sin in the midst of these Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto THEM THAT DWELL on the EARTH (Eretz), and to EVERY NATION, and KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE Rev 7:9 AFTER THIS I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 4.3) Then finally you get to the end time harvest of TREES (bearing fruit). The last harvest includes the vines and the olive trees. The Rev 14 ends with the harvest of trees (i.e. olives, grapes, etc.) of the Earth (Eretz) and the winepress. The grapes are stomped in the winepress, the olive trees are beaten with poles and the olives are crushed and pressed to a pulp. This is reminiscent of tribulation, persecution and beheading. Note when and how the olive tree is harvested to get an idea of the level of work required. The berries borne by the olive tree ripened in the early autumn and were harvested toward the end of November. Gathering of the fruit of the olive was – and is still today – an exercise of shaking the tree and its branches vigorously, causing the olive to fall to the ground. Sometimes the branches were beaten with poles to facilitate the dropping of the fruit. God declared to the ancient Israelites, “When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow” (Deut.24:20). Once gathered, the olives would be used to extract olive oil by means of a mortar and pestle (Exo.27:20), or by using a stone press to grind them. Ancient presses hewn out of solid rock have been found at Megiddo, Jerusalem, and Tanach. A large stone roller manned by two people crushed the olives to a pulp, which was then either trodden out (Deut..33:24) or subjected to more pressing. Once the impurities were removed, the oil was ready for use. In order to make oil, the olives were either bruised in a mortar, crushed in a press loaded with wood or stones, ground in a mill, or trodden with the feet. The “BEATEN” oil of Exodus 27:20, 29:40, Lev.24:2, and Num.28:5, was most likely made by bruising in a mortar. Says the Encyclopedia Judaica, “The olives were beaten down from the trees with poles (Isa.17:6), Do you see how the harvest of olive TREES and of the grapes in the winepress mirrors the end time Great Tribulation? Did you read the words BEATEN and CRUSHED to a PULP? triumphpro/olive-tree-mystery.htm The apostle Paul teaches something similar here: 1Co 15:23 But every man in his own ORDER: Messiah the FIRSTFRUITS (4.1); afterward they that are Messiahs at his coming(4.2). 1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end(4.3), when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. ABC, Notice how His coming (4.2) is before the End (4.3) when He puts down all rule and all authority and power? Between (4.2) and (4.3) the Torah of the newly wed warrior will be fulfilled by the Messiah.
