Christ will build His Church: Christ is the is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence [greatness/superiority surpassing all others] (Col 1:18 KJV). As the head of His body the Church, where He leads we follow, when He declares a word, we implement. And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. Matt 16:18 AMP When Christ died at the cross, as the just for the unjust, He died in the flesh but was quickened in the Spirit and as such set free to go and preach to the bound spirits in hell. Since the flood in the days of Noah, there were only eight spirits in glory but His crucifixion is the key that flung open the gates of hell and empowered Christ to embark on his mission, BUILDING THE CHURCH. And as Eph 4:8 puts it... he ascended up on high, he led captivity [spirits hitherto bound in hell] captive [unto the third heaven], and gave gifts unto men. As the body, our head has laid a firm foundation, that not even the gates of hell can stand against. As such, no soul is too wasted to be saved, too far gone to be retrieved. No wonder Paul, when he had comprehended this all surpassing greatness came to the conviction that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 8:38-39). No wonder miracles of the dead coming to back to life still abound. The firstborn from the dead has empowered the latter born flock; His body, to do just as he did. Breach whatever gates, even Hells gates, and let the Christ in you build his Church. To judge any soul is to judge us all. In stead let the gift in you minister and well begin to see as the earth as the seraphims do the whole earth is filled with his glory Isaiah 6:3
