Christians Are Irrelevant -- We Simply Dont Matter Anymore. This Newsweek article gives us great insight into how the world sees the Bible, Christianity and -- us, as Christians. I encourage you to read this article in its entirety. The narrative concerning the Bible and Christianity espoused by the writer, Kurt Eichenwald, outlines the battle we face. Americans simply do not respect the Bible or Christians. We have been declared irrelevant. We simply dont matter. Fifty years ago, this wasnt the case. How did we get to this point as a culture? According to Eichenwald, Christians do not read the Bible. Unfortunately, this is the one place where we agree. If we, as Followers of Jesus, read the Bible at least as much as we watch college football bowl games, perhaps the world would be a different place.
