We are seeing the same thing in our current governors race here in Illinois. These public employees have a sweetheart deal. The fact that the Illinios pension system is $100 billion underfunded means nothing to the union leadership. Meanwhile, all the citizens who pay taxes are on the hook. When anything is in debt by $100 billion there is a problem. A big problem. It is untenable.
