Christmas 2014: stuck in this treacherous stream whose bridge has been washed away by the rains in Rural Chongwe where we growing Maize for our pigs. I experienced what the man who fell among the thieves experienced in the story of the good Samaritan: A gentleman came along and said too bad you are stuck, i hope you will come out. One fellow from nearby farm came and started helping us get out, First he started by telling us to load rocks in the vehicle so it is heavy and he started lifting boulders and putting at the back of the prado. We engaged into 4 Wheel, power, the vehicle would not go forward or backwards and the water started fillin in.. Did all i could to use the power of this TOYOTA engine.. to no avail. Next this guy says ohh its no use lets go hire a tractor at a mission station... My two nephews who were with me volunteered to walk to the mission station. It took them 1 hour 30 min. They came and said they had found the missionary who promised to come as soon as he was done with what he was doing. He came 2 hours later.. and said oh no i couldnt start my truck and that car is too stuck to be pulled out by my Prado.. He took pictures and said brother you have to wait for the water to subside and am sure tmoro you will come out.. and drove back to his mission station.Then came this young man who said Boss my brother Arthur has a canter and a tractor, let me call him you talk to him.. Arthur was an entrepreneur, he just said pay me 150 and will come, it will take me one hour to reach you..Sure as predictable as sunshine, he came with this beautiful John deer.He was daring to jump into the stream and pulled me out. However trying to cross he Got stuck in the stream. It took his scout like creativity.. and i think he is a mcgyver of Chongwe. We were stuck here till all our guests who had come to share Christmas with us had bid farewell.. we only reached home 2200hrs! Facing this was a slow down for me to make a difference in the area
