Christmas Eve 2014: as I sit alone admiring my colorful bright Christmas tree giving thanks for the greatest gift, Jesus Christ, I suddenly see flashes of fear and hate that floods our world. I see the children whove been abused, I hear voices of those who fight everyday to take one more breath, I see racial tensions, I feel the heart break between loved ones. Like the song, I have a grown up Christmas list too: I would love nothing more than for those who thirst to be quenched once and for all.... Hope is here, it has already come!!! How big is that!?! So as I look at my tree, praising God that my thirst has been quenched and knowing with every fiber of my being that Jesus Christ is the Messiah ~he came, he died, he rose again~, I will sing in my soul and be blessed in my spirit oh come, oh come Emanuel.
