Christmas Tree On The Roundabout - UPDATE Previously on Wisbech Pictures Old & New a suggestion was made about a Christmas Tree on the Horsefair Roundabout and I said I would contact the revelant people and ask the questions. Thus far weve had expressions of support from Cllr Alan Lay, Cllr Michael Oliver and Cllr. Martin Curtis. The latter two were prepared to get more info about the idea and to work with the group, while the former offered any assistance he could give. So pretty positive! But until today I hadn heard from any Council Officers, who are key because they have the in-depth knowledge of the law and policy/regulation. Today I had an email from John Onslow, Director of Infrastructure Management and Operations: Environment Services at Cambridgeshire County Council. A big name! Steve, mf you contact Nicola Debnam (copied) when you are ready to discuss details, she will be able to help make this happen. Time to start looking at costs and fundraising! :)
