Christmas and Thanksgiving are the best holidays. Last night was - TopicsExpress

Christmas and Thanksgiving are the best holidays. Last night was with family, today will be family. This afternoon with Darleens family then tonight with mine. Some may know, some may not. My side of the family, my blood side, was separated for many, many, many years. Through odd circumstance and hard times Jennifer, John and me were separated as kids. Jen and John were reunited soon afterwards but I was adopted by Charles Kenneth Fairfield and Virginia Fairfield sometime in 1963 or 1964. I was taken into a family and had two sisters, Sue and Nancy and a brother, Steve and for years did not know I had other siblings on a blood side. Jennifer Kuhn Schultz, John Kuhn, Mike Rice, Bobby Rice and Cindy Rice-Connelly. Jen and I were reunited in the early 80s but quickly lost track of each other. Jen and I actually attended the same high school at the same time in Ft. Wayne, IN. and I was not aware of it until several years later. In 1999, Jen and I re-re-united and it has been a wonderful ride of discovery since then. I am in tears as I write this because of the Blessing I have been given of two loving families. The story is so much more involved than what I can tell here. I just had to say this morning that I am so thankful for the life I have been given and the families that are a part of me. I love you all so much. I do not see you all enough or say love you enough. Please know that in this mushy moment my heart is with you all. I miss you all so very much. I am so happy for so many things. So Blessed to have what I have and still discovering. I have brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, in-laws and cousins that I am still learning about and yet to meet. Maybe someday, right? On this Christmas as we celebrate the Blessing of Jesus Christ, celebrate the Blessings that have made you what you are today. If for any reason there is a divide in your family, fix it. It will be the best thing you can do for yourself and your family. You do not know what you have lost until you no longer have it. Do not take for granted your family, ever. In the end, they are all you have. Cherish them always and hold them dear in your heart. Merry Christmas everyone. If you read this to the end, call someone you have not spoken to in a long time and tell them you miss them.
