Christmas in Mexico December 5 – 8, 2013 Below is a partial listing of events. Please pick up a Map/Booklet, available at businesses around town. The booklet includes map and details of the happenings along with ticket for the raffles. Thursday, Dec. 5: • 5 p.m. - Hospice Tree lighting Ceremony at Oswego County Federal Credit Union. • 7 p.m. - “The Cost of Christmas”, a Christmas musical, at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, Church St. Friday, Dec. 6: • 6 p.m. – Locally produced, acted and filmed. A 25 minute mystery film produced by Anthony Mormile, “Transparency-Following you Dream”. The film will be followed by question and answer panel. • 7 p.m. - “The Cost of Christmas”, a Christmas musical, at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, Church St. • 8 p.m. – Christmas Simulcast, “Women of faith”. Live stream from Preston Baptist Church in Texas. Saturday, Dec. 7: • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Full day of Christmas in Mexico festivities. “Friends of Bob Cratchit” will be visiting the church bazaars, craft shows, shops, farmers market, library, museums and caroling along the streets. • 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. – Old-fashion Trolley service. Park at Mexico Middle School on Fravor Road and take the trolley to all activities. • 4 p.m. – Christmas Parade followed by the Tree Lighting C ceremony. Parade Prizes will be awarded and raffle basket winners will be drawn. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Fire Hall. • 7p.m. - “The Cost of Christmas”, a Christmas musical, at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, Church St. Sunday, Dec. 8: • 8 – 11 a.m. – VFW offer breakfast with Santa. All-you -can-eat pancakes, sausage, bacon, home fries, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, and photo with Santa. • 3 p.m. – Mexico Historical Society’s annual Christmas concert at the First Presbyterian Church. • 6 p.m. - “The Cost of Christmas”, a Christmas musical, at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, Church St. Christmas in Mexico December 5 – 8, 2013
