Christmas morning, 6:15 am, the phone rings, I am contemplating - TopicsExpress

Christmas morning, 6:15 am, the phone rings, I am contemplating Sugar Plums until now. With heart racing to Supra ventricular Tachycardia, I make the mad dash to the phone, with who has died now on my mind, I pray its not Dad? I answer the phone to hear my ex Brother-in-laws voice, Goooooood Mornnnnninnnng, Merrrrrryyy Christmas. Relief rushes back to my body with curiosity replacing the emotion as I state, What the ---- are you doing calling now? He states, Wellllllll, I was uppppp, I figured you would be tooooooo! Well go back to bed!, I state as I hang up the phone and return to bed myself. Now, I lay here in bed alone and contemplate my thoughts and his statement, Merry Christmas.. I glance at my phone and staring back at me is the message from my ex-wife, Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!!! Now, the realization hits me like a boulder falling from a high cliff, Someone did die, it was my Christ and everyone is Merry about it!. I wonder were the Jews merry about it also? They nailed him to to the cross, crucified him? Yes, it seems they would have been Merry as well. But, what does this mean to me? It means I have a debt to pay as well! My Christ, whom had the power to call down ten thousand angels to destroy the world and end the line that would lead to me,gave up his life because he knew I would be a sinner and need my sins forgiven also! Now, it is my duty to see his goodness passed on, and for me to do my best for mankind. I cannot contemplate the many sins I have done, they are forgiven...by God and I pray...by those I have harmed. As we enter a new year, my gift to myself on this Christmas day shall be a resolution to try to help another each day my God gives me another breath. If you need someone to talk to or I can be of some help, I am not a rich man, but I have one good ear left and I know how to listen and when I cant hear, I am pretty good at combining reading lips, body motions, and the little I do hear... Merry Christmas to you as well!
