Christmas thoughts, as 2014 comes to an end and Christmasdays - TopicsExpress

Christmas thoughts, as 2014 comes to an end and Christmasdays are upon us, i ll take some time to evaluate the last year and draw a plan for the future. This Christmas i am gratefull for the wonderfull people around me, i am gratefull for all the things that i can do, i am gratefull for the wise lessons and warm memories of friends and family who passed away. I am gratefull for a great man, taking my sins and weaknesses on his shoulders 2000 years ago and make the ultimate sacrifice. Along with all the things i am greatfull for, i do allow myself to mourn, mourn about the things i cannot do anymore, mourn about wonderfull people who have passed, leaving empty spaces that no one else can fill. My thoughts are with the families of many heroes we lost too soon this year, firefigters, leo, s and service men and women far from home, fighting at the tip of the spear, defending our values and democraty. my thoughts are with the ones who are battling illnes or the ones who see their son or daughter having to fight every day and struggle for survival. My thoughts are with the veterans who came home troubled and who are struggling to adapt to normal life. My thoughts are with the ones trying to overcome the deep valleys of crisis and who are struggling to get to high ground. My deepest respect to you all, may better days come on your path next year. Where does Brouwer knives stand now ? 2013 and 2014 were not the greatest years for me, having to battle some health issues and suffering from an injured hand, wich still bothers me. As a result waitingtime increased and my backlog further expanded. It is your enhousiasm, kind words and ongoing support that is overwhelming and heartwarming. Making knives is a very satisfying endeavour but nothing beats the support of such nice customers, operators and collectors. For 2015 many great things are scheduled. There will be more time to make knives and i will give priority to minimize the backlog. I will attend the Dutch knife show on April the 18th and bring some new designs. I will collaborate with some dealers and there are plans for a limited factoryrun of flanker folders. I will make an utmost effort to get you as many quality Brouwer knives, i can put out next year. A very merry Christmas to all of you. Jerry Brouwer Brouwer knives
