Christmas trees, holiday shopping sales, decorations in offices, homes, and storefronts. These are all signs of the approaching holiday season. Once again, it is the season for Israel to be sober and mindful of the laws, statues, and commandments of the Most High. We should be sober and mindful of the laws always, but in this season of increased pagan worship, we must increase our strength in Christ to fight off the so-called “Holiday Spirit”. Jeremiah 10:2: “Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.” So the Lord commands us not to learn the customs/traditions of the nation we are captive under. He further commands us not to fear the signs of Heaven like the sun the moon or the stars; because the nation that Israel was captive under made graven images of the signs of heaven to show their respect in worship. They made a large star and put it on top of the tree and little stars called ornaments all about the tree {{Deuteronomy 4:19-24: “19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. 20 But the Lord hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day. 21 Furthermore the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: 22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land. 23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of anything, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee. 24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God}}. Jeremiah 10:3: “For the customs of the people are vain: for one CUTTETH a TREE out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.” Because the customs/holidays of the people are LIES: someone cuts a tree out of the forest, the job of a man with an axe. Jeremiah 10:4: “They deck it with SILVER and with GOLD; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.” They DECORATE the tree with SILVER and with GOLD tinsel; they fasten the tree to stand up with nails using a hammer, so that it doesn’t fall down. Today the world calls this holiday Christmas. God commanded the Prophet Jeremiah to warn us not to follow this day proving that it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. The heathen have added that Christ was born on Christmas day to deceive disobedient Israelites. {{Deut 7:25-26: “The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: THOU SHALT NOT DESIRE THE SILVER OR GOLD THAT IS ON THEM, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an ABOMINATION to the LORD thy God. NEITHER SHALT THOU BRING AN ABOMINATION INTO THINE HOUSE, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt UTTERLY DETEST IT, AND THOU SHALT UTTERLY ABHOR IT; FOR IT IS A CURSED THING.”}} Proverbs 30:6: “Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a LIAR.” Christianity is based upon pagan LIES and anyone that teaches Christ was born on Christmas day will be found a liar! The next false holiday this country celebrates is called New Year’s Eve. According to the Bible, in Deuteronomy 16:1: “Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.” Exodus chapter 12 also explains that the 14th day of the first month is the Passover, a true Holiday (High Holy Day), which is kept in the spring between March-April. Exodus 12:2: “This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.” Proving the Lord’s New Year begins in the spring not the winter. Proverbs 1:7: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Knowledge of the scripture increases understanding, understanding into wisdom, and wisdom lets us properly discern between good and evil. Revelation 18:4: says “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
