Christmastide It can be a tough call to break down the walls, but we are each a child of God, created for an earth shaking life as His chosen people. Dare to trust God and to live life to the full, bearing with one another… Bible Reading - Colossians 3:12-17 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Prayer for the Day 29th December 2014 Blessed be God, who in his love stooped to redeem mankind. Blessed be the King who made himself poor to enrich the needy. Blessed be the holy child, who was born of the Virgin Mary. Blessed be the eternal Word, who was made flesh for us. Blessed be Jesus our Saviour and Lord, now and for ever. Amen He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
