Chuka Igambangombe Mp Hon Muthomi Njuki has given a one week ultimatum to the contractors of Chuka town roads to speed up the construction of the roads. The Mp said that he had promised the people of CI that they will be cerebrating this Christmas on a tarmacked town but the contractors are failing the people of CI. Speaking at St Joseph Catholic Church Chuka town during the fundraiser of the Church priest Father Mbaka, the MP said that the contractors have taken too long to do too little we cant have a situation where greedy contractors rush to take contracts yet they have no capacity to do the work, kama hana pesa akope the Mp said. The Mp was accompanied by the leader of majority in the Senate who is also the Tharaka Nithi County Senator Hon Kithure Kindiki, Elgoyo Marakwet Senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen, Embu County Senator Hon Lenny Kivuti and Runyenjes Mp Hon Cecile Mbarire.
