Church family, I have a prayer request and praise report, all in one; My brother, Josh, was injured in an accidental shooting last night. He was cleaning a handgun for a friend and after cleaning it, the friend loaded it and it accidentally discharged, hitting Josh in the back and proceeded to his abdomen. Thankfully it missed any major organs or arteries, although it hit his colon and small intestine, which were surgically repaired last night. Law enforcement determined that it was truly an accident and no charges were filed. the friend feels horrible, so pray for grace and mercy as he deals with this. Josh will be recuperating 4-7 days at RRMC from the surgery and will have a pretty good road to recovery since the incision was from his sternum to his navel. The surgeon said the bullet missed the major arteries by mere millimeters. That, in itself, was a miracle that only our sovereign Father can make. Praise God for His infinite power and sovereignty. We truly serve an awesome God. Keep Josh and his wife, Megan, in your prayers through the next few days as he recovers from this.
