Cicerone authors Tony Howard & Di Taylor will be in India through December helping with a proposed new trek. From western Assam, the walk will follow the Bhutan border through the tribal region of Bodoland including Manas National Park and Tiger Reserve. There they will join another new project, The Great Indian Elephant Safari before finishing beyond the eastern extremity of Manas. The project is designed not simply to attract visitors to this little known part of India, but primarily to benefit the local people, as were other projects Tony and Di have worked on in nearby Nagaland, and in Jordan.
