Cinema etiquette #12: reserved seating. If I have driven across town to Marion, negotiated the carpark in pouring rain, survived the candy bar with two kids, to get into a near-full kids movie before the movie has started AND I had planned ahead to pre-book and pay for chosen seats (and been charged $3.30 for the privilege)... Then I WILL expect you to move if you are sitting in our booked seats. I do not care that you were too soft to ask the person sitting in one of your reserved seats to move, I am not that soft. "Grumpy old man rant" for the day over. PS note to self: if you have an inkling that a G rated movie about monsters scaring children, is too too scary for a 4 year old - trust your instincts as you are inevitably going to be proven right!
