Circus of Hope is officially a 501c3 public charity as recognized by the IRS! 2014 has been a great year for us! We are honored to be recognized by Cirque du Soleil, and very grateful for the opportunity that they gave us to share the magic of their Varekai and Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour shows with several groups of children that would not have had been able to otherwise see them in Cedar Park, Beaumont, and DFW! The youth of the Texas Baptist Children’s Home have also welcomed us warmly, and we look forward to working with them even more in 2015 - our last event with them, in November, was hugely successful: with the assistance of some awesome volunteers, they got to learn the basics of juggling, partner balance, aerial tissu (aka “silks”), low wire, hula hooping, and jump rope and double dutch! We are also thankful to have been able to participate in the American Circus Educators Association’s Educators Conference in Montreal this fall, and look forward to being involved in more American Youth Circus Organization activities in the coming year. And, of course, we are full of gratitude for having been able to work with the children of Staten Island’s PS 39 earlier this year - Circus of Hope would love to be able to work with them again.
