Cities and Towns Initiative The Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative’s Annual Meeting is being held June 26-28th at the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center. The Annual Meeting will include the following agenda items: a jobs forum for the Mississippi River, an assessment of container shipping on the Mississippi, the creation of a river community foundation network, and the drafting of a uniform zoning code for all city waterfront areas. Forty-seven mayors are now a part of this initiative and are working together to address critical water resource management issues.
