City of Grenoble has little Balochistan… Little Balochistan in Grenoble, 18 October 2013 Little Balochistan in Grenoble, 18 October 2013 Grenoble, a provincial town of France is growing as a little hub of Baloch activists who are engaged in demonstrating their deep concern for an independent state of Balochistan. Balochistan province is a region in Pakistan that is rich in gas, minerals and other natural resources. And its geographical location has also a geo-political significance – with borders to Iran and Afghanistan. Munir Mengal, one of the leading Baloch activists recently organized a protest through Blaoch Voice Association in coordination with a French NGO, “Association pour le Mouvement Interpeuple”. The protest strongly condemned Pakistan government’s harsh treatment of Baloch people and ignoring the Balochistan issue. During the demonstration, Ataullah Arjumandi, Salal Baloch, Malik, Ali Akbar and Rais Allah Rakhio Baloch were quite active among many others… Munir Mengal had a telephone interview with Benjamin Ismail from Reporters Sans Frontières. Baloch Voice Association plans to organize another larger protest during the month of January 2014.
