City of Waynesville writes: Press Release, City of Waynesville Flood Donations: 2013 August 9, 2013 at 1:25pm PRESS RELEASE, CITY OF WAYNESVILLE FLOOD DONATIONS: 2013 A local charity has agreed to be the point of contact for monetary donations, as well as tangible goods, for the Waynesville/Pulaski County Flood Relief. Good Samaritan is very much a part of our community and knows our community. They have experience in dealing with the allocation of funds and goods to people in need. If you wish, your donations can be earmarked for “Waynesville Residents” or “Pulaski County Residents”. There are many worthwhile efforts, including the Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc, being undertaken for the affected citizens of the County. As a municipal agency we cannot sponsor or recommend private charities. But, understand that this event is associated with our City. Thank you for our caring community and the many people wishing to donate their time and money. Recovery plans will be announced next week after the rain events subside.
