City worked on the water lines again this week. Last time, my aerators on all my faucets as well as my showeheads and the body of the kitchen faucet filled up with all sorts of dirt/sand/pebbles/bugs (yuck!). What a chore to clean up! This time, I was ready for the dirt and other crud that gets into the clean water supply. Normally, I would turn on a tub faucet when the water is turned off. When the water is back on, almost everything goes down the tub drain. But this year, I changed all my tub and shower valves to thermostatic. Just didnt want to take a chance. So I removed the aerators from a couple of bathroom faucets. I let it run awhile until the water flowed clear and the spitting and sputtering stopped. Worked perfectly!
