Civic action program by IRP 12th Bn. Mattan for Orphan students : PRESS RELEASE to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir : Mattan ( Anantnag) June 21; To celebrate the J&K Police raising week, today on 21 June IRP 12th Bn. Mattan Anantnag conducted a Civic action programme by inviting the young Orphan students of various orphanage homes of Distt. Anantnag to Bn. Headquarters. About (50) Nos. of orphan students and staff participated. They were appraised regarding the formation and functioning of Armed Police Battalions. The students visited Battalion coys, Stores, Barraks, Battalion premises and various sections of Battalion Administrative block. Students were comprehensively briefed by Sh. Shridar Patil- IPS (SP) Commandant of the Battalion regarding the functioning and objectives of Armed Police Battalion. The Students were served with refreshments and school stationary kits were distributed among them. Later on, Commandant and staff of the Battalion interacted with the students by playing a friendly Football match. Local citizens and administration of the Orphan Homes highly appreciated the efforts of mainly J&K Police and particularly Commandant and staff of IRP 12th Battalion for conducting such kind of function.
