Civil rights activist, best-selling author and award-winning actress Donzaleigh Abernathy currently feat in the Civil Rights Photography installation at High Museum of Art, Atlanta. This iconic photo was taken in March 1965 during the Selma to Montgomery March -- she recalls: Chewing on my finger and holding hands with my brother Ralph 3rd and my sister Juandalynn, while waiting with my Father, Mother, John Lewis and Rev. Reese of Selma for Uncle Martin and Aunt Coretta to start the last leg of the Selma to Montgomery March for the Right to Vote. We were waiting on the grounds of St. Judes Hospital, where my sister, brother and I were born, to March to the Alabama State Capital.
