Civil rights leaders are calling on Daniele Watts to apologize to the Los Angeles Police Department after the black actress claimed she was racially profiled for kissing her white boyfriend in public. Project Islamic Hope President Najee Ali, Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson and other civil rights leaders held a meeting Friday morning, denouncing the “Django Unchained” actress and demanding she apologize to the community, a local CBS affiliate reported. Here are my thoughts on that situation. This provides an example of how we are as Black Women. Like most of us do, she quickly played the victim/card(in this case she was a victim of racial profiling), and some Men ran to her defense, based on what she led them to believe. Brothers, you have to be more careful about who you are willing to put yourself out there for, both verbally and physically. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad stated the following in response to a letter written to him about a Sister being attacked: Dear Brother Captain, we go to war on facts but not on half-truth and half other than the truth, not on a willing job. We would get many Brothers killed for a weak woman and that we do not want to do. There are many of you that will put your life on the line based on a womans word, without investigating HER, the situation and the facts. You dont know what time of woman she is, if she is being honest, or if she was caught up in her emotions. For example, a woman can be antagonistic, get in her husbands/boyfriends/mans face, verbally disrespect him, hit HIM, then dare him to hit him back...when he defends himself/retaliates ..she goes running and crying to her male family members and they move out, and are ready to hurt a man that wasnt the aggressor. So be mindful of who you vouch for especially one that by her choice of mate has shown you where her DISLOYALTY lies. This also provides and excellent example of how we arent willing to humble ourselves and APOLOGIZE, when it has been PROVEN it was wrong. I feel like this Woman took advantage of an emotionally charged climate(the recent shootings of our Brothers)and tried to use that to her advantage. When it was revealed that it was about INDECENCY, instead of discrimination, she instantly became mute. She was VERY VOCAL when it was perceived that she was a victim, but now, since she has been found out, as most Black Women do..she is refusing to apologize for her manipulation and lies and be accountable for he actions. Black Women we ROAR when we are WRONGED but we suddenly lose our voice when we are WRONG. #TheAgitator
