Class 6A Division II FOOTBALL BI DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS McAllen vs Laredo Alexander Thursday night 7pm SAC STADIUM Laredo, Texas The Laredo Alexander Bulldogs have been to four straight Region IV Final Championships under head coach Joel Lopez. He has built a tradition of playoff runs since 2010 when they went 10-4 and followed that season with a 12-1 record in 2011. That was the same year McAllen lost to Alexander 41-10. As a matter of fact, no other Rio Grande Valley team has yet to defeat Alexander in the playoffs since 2010. Can McAllen break that streak on Thursday night with second year head coach Kevin Brewer? The Bulldogs will need to stop Alexander QB Aaron Swain (2,494 yards passing/28TDs/345 yards rushing) if they expect to advance to the area playoffs.
