Class Notes Sunday 3/16/2014 What are the three things I expect to get out of life? That is the question by which Ramon began his sermon this morning. That is almost like finding a Genie in a bottle and be given three wishes. When we played this game as children, on the third wish, I would always wish for three (at least three) more wishes. It is a tough question because in today’s society we are conditioned to have “unlimited” wants. There will always be a “faster” computer, a “smarter” phone, or a “larger” TV with better resolution. Of course, God has not promised to take care of all our “wants” but He has promised to take care of all our “needs”. And, for most of us, He has done that in spectacular fashion. As the song goes, “He is an on time God, yes He is.” Carolyn has been watching an eagle’s nest at Berry College the last few weeks and how much attention that mama eagle and daddy eagle give to their baby. Just think of all the effort it took to get us from infant to childhood. God took care of our needs then and He takes care of our needs now. And, because of Jesus, He plans to take care of our needs throughout eternity. Praise God! 1. The March Social will be held at The Old Fort Restaurant on Saturday, March 22, at 11:30 am. Please call Dot if you were not in class this morning to make a reservation. 2. Bob and Janice will host the April Social on April 5. It will be a Seder Meal (Passover Meal) with the traditional dishes. Bob also said that he would also make sure there was food for those who might like to have more modern food. Details on the social will be announced later. 3. Next Sunday, Bob will lead us in Lesson 4, Worthy is the Lamb, with the background text of Revelation 3:7; 5:5-13; 6:12 – 7:17; 22:16. The purpose of the lesson is to explain how John’s vision of God’s victory celebration informs and shapes our worship. 4. Milteen will have the devotion and Eddie will have the “goodies” next week.
