Teacher: Here are the words from the story. (Teacher posts a T-Bar of words with singular nouns in the left column, with their plural counterparts in the right column. All words follow the +s rule of pluralizing nouns.) Teacher: I want you to please tell me how similar the words are in column A, and how different they are in column B. I will give you five seconds to think about your answer. 5...4...3...2...1 (Students raise hands.) Student 1: Teacher lahat po ng nasa column A ay nag-iisa. Teacher: Good! Ano pa? Student 2: Teacher lahat po ng nasa column B, may -s sa dulo. Teacher: Great! What else? Student 3: Teacher, all nouns in column A are called singular nouns and the words in column B are called plural nouns. (Tumigil sa pag-function ang utak ko for 5 seconds. Okay shet wala nakong lesson. Hahahaha.) Teacher: Fantastic! (Writes the words Singular and Plural on top of the columns.) There. Class, what is a singular noun? Student 4: Ang singular noun po ay nag-iisa. Teacher: What are plural nouns? Student 5: Ang plural noun ay marami. Teacher: At kapag nais nating gawing plural ang mga singular nouns, base sa ating mga halimbawa, anong dinadagdag natin sa mga salita? Class: Nagdadagdag po tayo ng -s sa dulo! Student 3: Teacher, hindi naman po tayo laging nagdadagdag ng -s sa dulo ah. Minsan po nag-iiba ng spelling. Minsan din po nagdadagdag ng words. Diba po ang plural noun ng fish ay school of fish? (Hala ka. Wala na talaga akong lesson for the week. Yung ibang bata, ngayon palang nalaman yung Singular-Plural, habang siya eh sobrang advanced na.
