Clay and I want to thank you all for everything you have done for - TopicsExpress

Clay and I want to thank you all for everything you have done for us in the past weeks, and continue to do now. Someone very dear to me said that you really see who people are when a tragedy like this happens. We live in a community, in a whole vast area for that matter, of absolutely kind and amazing people. There are literally thousands of people who have prayed for our little girl. We keep running into more people that have let us know their whole family, their whole church, their friends, all prayed for our baby and our family, and many continue to do so. I can tell you that losing a child is the worst kind of nightmare, and yet it brings us peace and happiness to know so many have lifted our baby and our family up in prayer, have sent their love and their hugs to Reese in Heaven. We love knowing she is surrounded in love in Heaven, and that she feels so much love coming from Earth, too. We have received too many texts, facebook messages, and cards to count, and Clay and I like to sit and read them so very much. The messages on the cards you chose, and the messages that you hand wrote or emailed, make us feel better. We have sat and read each one together, and re-read some again and again when we particularly like the verse, etc. We have also received a LOT of wonderful food. Not having to cook and shop is such a tremendous relief. Our boys are enjoying very much all the treats and snacks as well! We also want to thank you for sending money. I have to admit it feels a bit overwhelming to accept it, you have all been very generous. We love you all so much, and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for everything you have done for our little girl and for our family. A very, very special thank you to our family and to friends we consider our family. There are truly no words to convey how much you did for us and continue to do. We know you love her and miss her so much, and you all went to extreme lengths to do anything and everything you could to help us, to keep us sane, to get us through this, to care for our boys. You put your own personal lives aside for days, even weeks, to stand beside us, to hold us up. We truly cannot think of words that are good enough to describe just how amazing you all are, and how much we deeply love each of you. We said many times, How do people without family survive something like this? Love, love, love you all. We want to place a special thank you to the wonderful woman who took my 911 call and talked me through the drive to meet the ambulance, the EMS crew that met me on the highway, and the entire hospital staff that helped Reese, myself and my family that day. Wonderful, kind, amazing people that took such good care of us all and tried so hard for our baby girl. We are eternally grateful for each one of you. We would also like to send a special thanks to the Alaska State Trooper Russ Landers, that went above and beyond to find Clay in his remote hunting spot and to get him out and on his way to the airport. Thank you to Rick Harvey, our special friend, who drove Clay to the airport, making sure he arrived on time for his flight home. Thank you to Karl Harvey for miraculously guiding the state trooper into the hunting camp by satellite phone. Pastor (Uncle) Harold Delbridge, thank you for what you did for me at the hospital. I would not have gotten through that day without you. I dont have words enough to say what I feel. Pastor Bob Totino and Pastor Jaime Groneburg from Countryside Church, thank you for rushing over to the hospital when my sister called, thank you for praying with me for my little girl, thank you for standing by us then and now. Pastor Mark, thank you for helping my Uncle Harold to arrange the funeral, thank you for a beautiful opening message for our baby girl. MANY, many people, complimented to us that Pastor Mark and Pastor Harold gave the MOST BEAUTIFUL MESSAGES they had ever heard at a funeral. People told us this again and again, with awe in their voice, and Clay and I couldnt agree with them more. You are amazing men of God, we love you and thank you. Thank you to our singers, Ryan Smith, Jamie Groneburg and Paul Casey. Again, we had people comment time and again on how beautiful you all sang. Thank you to all the behind-the-scenes people at Countryside Church that set up for the funeral, we appreciate your time and help very much. Thank you to the Aladdin Homemakers for making the food for the funeral and at the park following the burial, it was delicious, and above and beyond. Thank you to Randi Delbridge for putting together the slideshow video for Reese, it was beyond perfect. We just love it. Thank you to Kinkade Funeral Home for helping us through this, and especially for allowing us many hours of private time to be with our baby, it means more than you will ever know. Once again, we thank you all so very much. Thank you seems like such small words for the big feeling we are trying to portray. Thank you, we love you, and we would appreciate if this message was passed around and shared. We hope to have as many people as possible see our thank you to them for everything. There is no way to send out that many Thank You cards, or personally thank so many people, many of which we do not even know. We so badly want everyone to know how much we appreciate it all, you are truly such a wonderful and amazing crew. Love, Clay, Christi, Tel, Cord and Reese Marchant
