Clean Eating Challenge: 3 Weeks In Three weeks of eating nothing but unprocessed, uncured, natural, and mostly organic food. I really want some Frosted Flakes. And I must make a confession - I had three beers last night. The lure of Bells Two-Hearted was just too darn much. Hey, I AM human, after all. Mainly Ive been trying to go the whole foods route. Unprocessed is the name of the game. Main staples in my diet during this time: -meat -eggs -produce -rice -potatoes -oats -cottage cheese Those staples provide enough variation for me. Maybe not forever, but for the most part, I can suffice using those in different combinations. Stir fries, chilis, casseroles, etc. But my main take away for this week? There is so much organic crap out there. Go look in the organic section. Theres so many choices which claim to be healthier for you simply because theyre organic. A cookie is still a cookie. Ice cream is still ice cream. A bad choice is still a bad choice. Make your decisions wisely. And just because you choose organic doesnt mean you are any more or less healthy than your neighbor - who generally chooses Hostess. -Jason
