Cleaning my desk and came across two random lists. According to Phoenix Marketing International, states with the most millionaires per capita last year were MD, NJ, CT, HI. The same states overall state and local tax burdens five years earlier, per the Taxpayers Network, were 4th, 1st, 3rd and 5th highest in the nation. Perhaps taxes dont always chase out wealth - and if invested in education, infrastructure, health care etc can actually help create wealth.
