Clearing and self maintenance. We know showering is an important part of a daily routine, but we don’t always remember or think about our energetic bodies. Just like our physical bodies our aura and chakras pick up dirt and grime that we pick up throughout the day, it could be from interactions with others, emotional energy we may be processing or releasing, we can even pick up others energy by physically bumping into them in the supermarket. We can also attach cords to others when speaking or thinking of them, especially if we rely on or live with them. This isn’t a necessarily bad thing but you may find you get drained or feel more tired than usual because you’re tapping into or feeling someone else’s energy. So in order to run at your full capacity it is useful and a necessity to keep your auric field clear your chakras boosted and protected while also remembering to cut any and all energetic ties frequently. I would recommend at least twice a day (morning and night). In the morning it can set your intent for your day and energy, you could even add a protection affirmation and protect yourself in a ball of ‘Golden Light’. Calling in the ‘Light to Fill, Surround and Protect You.’ If you are a Reiki healer it is recommended that you do this after each session. It takes about 5 minutes and it will make all the difference during your following sessions and will keep that connection with the Universal Reiki Energy nice and clear. Finishing the day or even week off with a salt bath, walk on the beach or lake near the water’s edge or by smudging yourself with sage or rosemary is a great way to ensure a deep cleanse. It will completely clear and allow you to be refreshed and renewed. Receiving a Reiki healing your self is ideal and recommended at least once a month; we must ensure that we as healers are taking care of ourselves too. There are more ways to clear including, dancing and/or singing to uplifting music, cooking, painting, gardening, exercise, clearing clutter and of course laughing.
