Click the link below Ansøg online The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (CFB) is seeking a bioinformatician for development, maintenance and application of bioinformatics tools for experimental data generated within the CFB CHO cell line development project. The CFB is an independent unit at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) that conducts research on microbial and mammalian metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. We apply cutting edge academic research methods to translational problems in chemical and protein production. Successful candidates will join a dynamic and international team working on data analysis, predictive modeling, software development and genomics data generation related to translational research projects. Job description Job responsibilities include: Development of data processing and visualization pipelines for CHO genome re-sequencing, RNA-seq, amplicon sequencing, proteomics and metabolomics Analysis, visualization, and integration of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, phenomics, and metabolomics data as part of CHO cell line development projects Development and maintenance of web-basedtools for designing constructs for CHO genome editing Participation in cell factory design and data analysis software platform development efforts Collaboration with other groups at the CFB in genome-scale modeling and data analysis Qualifications Candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering or similar field The applicant should have strong experience in mammalian cell and molecular biology and in methods for genome editing (e.g. the CRISPR/Cas9 system) The applicant should have experience in next generation sequencing data analysis including working with mammalian RNA-seq and amplicon sequencing data The applicant needs to have experience in scientific software development programming languages such as Python and in web application development and maintenance Experience in modeling of large-scale biochemical networks using COBRA methods is desirable Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team andto communicate efficiently to team members with different backgrounds in English is required Salary and terms of employment The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations.
