Promote studies; Carry out chats efficiently and effectively to optimise patient recruitment in a way that encourages patients to want to participate in trials. Undertake screening visits in accordance with protocol requirements. Randomise every eligible patient in the shortest possible timescale. Encourage patients to continue on trials and to participate in future trials. Deal with incoming telephone calls whilst projecting a positive image of Synexus. Support other recruitment activities as appropriate. Keep aware of recruitment deadlines. Data Quality Collect data from the patient. Ensure meticulous recording of data in both clinical and research notes. Identify areas for improvement. Collect statistics, where appropriate. Implement agreed systems to ensure high standards are maintained. Maintain accurate Drug Accountability Logs. Maintain accurate Freezer Logs, Specimen Labelling and Documentation. Check work and correct errors promptly; Work with monitors and Data Co-ordinator to ensure prompt corrections/answers to Data Queries. Patient & Customer Care Welcome patients and put them at their ease. Ensure patients fully understand procedures; Encourage patients to express any concerns. Communicate results. Detect and report adverse events. Deal courteously with patients at all times. Screen patients efficiently and effectively. Ensure a pleasant and safe environment for patients. Fully inform patients about the study and guide patients in the requirements of the trial. Carry out all tests necessary to the study efficiently and effectively. Promote a positive image of Synexus to all monitors and other customer representatives. Implement agreed systems to ensure high standards of customer service are maintained. Work with monitors and Data Co-ordinator to ensure prompt corrections/answers to Data Queries. Seek views of customers and try to rectify any concerns. Working as a Team Liaise with and Support colleagues; be flexible. Provide administrative support when required. Develop an awareness of other staff members’ roles providing help and assistance as appropriate. Participate actively in weekly team meetings and events to strengthen team spirit. Communication Participate actively in weekly team meetings, events to strengthen team spirit and in other regular meetings/ discussions with colleagues and customers. Prepare and promulgate reports of meetings, as required. Identify priorities; bring issues to the attention of colleagues for the smooth running of the centre Leadership. Share experience and knowledge with colleagues as appropriate and in and appropriate manner. Instil confidence in all patients and potential patients. Planning & Organising Monitor own workflow to ensure priorities are dealt with correctly. Identify sources of problems and deal with or presenting solutions to colleagues. Liaise with colleagues in other Centres, customers and external agencies to address priorities and to solve problems. Professional Carry out duties in accordance with GCP (ICH GCP and local regulations) and work within the NMC Code of Professional Practice. Seize opportunities for self-development.
