Closer Beneath those beautiful innocent eyes I looked, yes - TopicsExpress

Closer Beneath those beautiful innocent eyes I looked, yes through to the midst of your core. Beyond human hearing I listened, ‘til the silence whispered “move a little closer” I heard. I looked at your lips but they didn’t move, I looked around but no one had said a thing. “Move a little closer, just say something, anything” the voice was clearer now. Afraid that I was afraid closer I came, my heart pounding against my ribcage “hi” I muttered. The curl that formed around your lips, said come closer and again I did. Searching your face I could see you had come too far, I could feel all the hurt that you’ve felt. I could feel the cold in all the long lonely nights you’ve had. Vulnerable as you were I had you say, “come closer”. Without moving you lips. Loving your vulnerability I did. My ears shut out the outside world as I enveloped you in my little cocoon. Words wouldn’t be enough so I kept quiet, moved my head closer and brushed my lips against yours. Yes you a stranger, tried to hide it but I felt your whole body tremble. Catching my breathe I whispered, “closer” as our lips locked in a kiss that sent my whole world spinning and took away all my resistance. Oh it felt so good now that I was closer. Two strangers yet we carried on. Not knowing what to expect next amnesia had us lose ourselves in that moment. No questions asked. We were beyond that. All that mattered was NOW and what our skins were shouting to each other. “Closer” is all we could here. “Closer” is all we needed. “Closer” as we held on, afraid that we’d wake up from a dream. In sweet shallow gasps, I swear I could hear your skin breathe as inexpertly I made trails all over you with my fingers. I wake up now and you are nowhere to be found. Unlike Cinderella you didn’t leave a gold shoe I could seek you with. I swear it wasn’t a dream I can steal smell the fragrance of you perfume all over me, feel the warmth on the side of the bed that you lay. And closer I move, hoping to feel you one last time. “Closer” if only you could come one last time.
